Copa Libertadores: San Lorenzo, Botafogo Grab Series Openers; The Strongest And Lanus Draw In Bolivia

The Round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores reached its' midway point on Thursday with three games.

At Montevideo, Uruguay:

Joao Paulo scored the only goal of the match in the 37th minute as Botafogo took the opening game of their series with Club Nacional 1-0 on the road.

At Guayaquil, Ecuador:

Fernando Belluschi scored the game's lone goal in the 24th minute as San Lorenzo defeated Club Sport Emelec 1-0 on the road in their series opener.

At La Paz, Bolivia:

Diego Bejarano's equalizer in the opening minute of second-half stoppage time lifted The Strongest to a series-opening 1-1 home draw with Lanus.  Nicolas Pasquini scored for the Argentinian club in the 36th minute.
