CAF Champions League: More Clubs Advance

Four more clubs advanced Saturday to the CAF Champions League's Round of 16 on Saturday.

At Le Tampon, Reunion:


Despite dropping a 1-0 game-two road decision to US Stade Tamponnaise (Mamadou Diallo scoring at 31 minutes), Egypt's Ismaily won their two-match set 3-2 on aggregate.

At Omdurman, Sudan:


A 2-0 home win over Gazelle FC in game two lifted Al-Merreikh to a 3-1 aggregate win in their two-match set against the club from Chad.  Kelechi Osunwa (10') and Silvaia (OG-61') provided the scoring.

At Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso:


Esperance ST (with goals from Mickeal Eneramo [2'], Khaled Ayari [19'], and Wajdi Bouazzi [80']) took game two 3-1 on the road against ASFA Yennega and took the two-game set 7-2 on aggregate.

At Maputo, Mozambique:

Despite losing game two 2-0 on the road, Supersport United FC still won their two-game set with Ferroviario Maputo 3-2 on aggregate.
