At Quito, Ecuador:
Isaac Mina (19') and Luis Checa (86') each scored once as Deportivo Quito defeated visiting Cerro 2-1.
Group Eight:
At Caracas, Venezuela:
Universidad de Chile defeated already-eliminated Caracas FC 3-1 on the road. Mauricio Victorino (17'), Juan Manuel Olivera (PK-31'), and Matias Nicolas Rodriguez (34') provided the first-half scoring for Los Chunchos.
