Borussia Monchengladbach: Glad To Stay Up

At Bochum, Germany:

Marco Reus provided the survival assurance goal at 72 minutes on Wednesday as Borussia Monchengladbach gained a 1-1 road draw with VfL Bochum in game two of their two-game promotion-relegation playoff series, enabling the visitors to win the series 2-1 on aggregate and assure themselves of another season in the German Bundesliga.  It capped off the Great Escape for Monchengladbach as they picked up ten of a possible twelve points from their final four league games to keep their top-flight survival chances alive.  As for Bochum, who were relegated from the top flight at the end of last season, they failed to join Hertha Berlin and FC Augsburg in gaining promotion to the top flight.
