Maicon Santos delivered the equalizer for Toronto FC at 73 minutes on Wednesday as they came back to gain a 1-1 road draw in the opening game of the two-match final of the Nutrilite Canadian Championship with the Vancouver Whitecaps. Eric Hassli scored for the hosts at 64 minutes. The second and final contest will take place next Wednesday in Toronto. The winner of this series would enter the preliminary round of next season's CONCACAF Champions League.
