US Open Cup: It's Sounders Vs. SKC For Title

The semifinal round of the US Open Cup took place with two games played on Wednesday.


At Chester, Pennsylvania:


Jacob Peterson (65') and Graham Zusi (90'+3) provided the scoring as Sporting Kansas City knocked off the Philadelphia Union 2-0 on the road.


At Tukwila, Washington:


Eddie Johnson (31'), Osvaldo Alonzo (PK-47'), Brad Evans (83'), and Sammy Ochoa (88') each provided a goal as the Seattle Sounders dominated visiting Chivas USA 4-1.


The final between the Seattle Sounders (who will be gunning for a fourth straight title) and Sporting Kansas City will take place on August 8 at Livestrong Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kansas, with the winner qualifying for the group stage of the 2013-14 CONCACAF Champions League.
