Luis Silva scored the lone goal of the match in the eighth minute as Toronto FC defeated the New England Revolution 1-0, enabling the Reds to win back-to-back games in league play for the first time this season.


At Columbus, Ohio:


Jacob Peterson (7') and Teal Bunbury (82') each scored once as Sporting Kansas City blanked the home-standing Columbus Crew 2-0.


At Bridgeview, Illinois:


Pavel Prado scored in the only goal of the match in the 10th minute as the Chicago Fire defeated the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps 1-0.


At Commerce City, Colorado:


Carlos Rodriguez (60') and Fabian Castillo (81') provided the scoring as FC Dallas came from behind to pick up their first road victory of the season, 2-1 over the Colorado Rapids.


At Santa Clara, California:


Chris Wondolowski delivered a hat trick (19', 73', 80') as the San Jose Earthquakes dismantled visiting Real Salt Lake 5-0.


At Portland, Oregon:


David Beckham (19', 24') and Robbie Keane (29', 64') as the Los Angeles Galaxy knocked off the Portland Timbers 5-3 on the road, spoiling Gavin Wilkinson's debut as the Timbers interim head coach.
