In the opening contest of the CAF Champions League's semifinal round, Salah Saidi (26') and Aouk Badi (47') each scored once as Wydad Casablanca defeated visiting Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in game one of their two-game series.
Calvin Anele Ngcongca kept the South African club alive in the series with his goal in the 42nd minute.
