AFC Champions League

Eight games were contested on Tuesday as action in the group stage of the AFC Champions League continued.

GROUP B:

At Doha, Qatar:

Leonardo da Silva Sousa scored the winning goal in the third minute of second-half stoppage time as Al-Wahda knocked off Al-Rayyan 2-1 on the road.

At Jeddah, Saudi Arabia:

Fahad Al Muwallad scored twice (50', PK-90'+4) as Al-Ittihad nosed out visiting Lokomotiv Tashkent 3-2.

Group B Standings:

1. Al-Wahda (GP: 3; GD: +2; PTS: 6)
2. Al-Ittihad (GP: 3; GD: +2; PTS: 6)
3. Al-Rayyan (GP: 3; GD: -4; PTS: 3)
4. Lokomotiv Tashkent (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 3)

NOTES:  Al Wahda defeated visiting Al-Ittihad 4-1 on March 11; Al-Rayyan defeated visiting Lokomotiv Tashkent 2-1, also on March 11.



GROUP D:

At Tashkent, Uzbekistan:

Xavi scored twice (6', 16') to help Al-Sadd gain a 2-2 road draw with Pakhtakor.

Khozhiakbar Alidzhanov (9') and Dragan Ceran (41') produced the goals for the hosts.

At Dubai, United Arab Emirates (due to deteriorating relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia):

Shojae Khalilzadeh (18') and Ali Alipour (49') each scored once as Persepolis of Iran blanked Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia 2-0.

Group D Standings:

1. Pakhtakor (GP: 3; GD: +1; PTS: 5)
2. Al-Sadd (GP: 3; GD: -1; PTS: 4)
3. Persepolis (GP: 3; GD: +1; PTS: 4)
4. Al-Ahli (GP: 3; GD: -1; PTS: 3)

NOTE:  Al-Sadd defeated visiting Persepolis 1-0 on March 12.



GROUP E:

At Changwon, South Korea:

Takeshi Kanamori (90'+1) and Serginho (90'+3) each scored a stoppage-time goal as Kashima Antlers came from behind to shock Gyeongnam FC 3-2 on the road.

At Jinan, China:

Graziano Pelle converted a 39th-minute penalty kick for the winning goal as Shandong Luneng defeated visiting Johor Darul Ta'zim 2-1.

Group E Standings:

1. Kashima Antlers (GP: 3; GD: +2; PTS: 7)
2. Shandong Luneng (GP: 3; GD: +1; PTS: 5)
3. Gyeongnam FC (GP: 3; GD: -1; PTS: 2)

GROUP G:

At Saitama, Japan:

Carlos Adriano de Souza Cruz scored the only goal of the match in the 72nd minute as Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors defeated Uruwa Red Diamonds 1-0 on the road.

At Buriram, Thailand:

Cedric Bakambu scored a hat trick (2', 29', 54') as Beijing FC defeated Buriram United 3-1 on the road.
