Group-stage play in the Copa Libertadores continued on Thursday with three games.

GROUP A:

At Buenos Aires:

Matias Sqarez (14'), Lucas Martinez Quarta (53'), and Diego De La Cruz (90'+2) each scored once as River Plate dominated visiting Alianza Lima 3-0.

Lorenzo Frutos (PK-51') and Freddy Vargas (89') each scored once for Deportivo Lara as the Venezuelan club gained a 2-2 road draw with Club Sport Emelec.

Brayan Angulo scored twice in the second half (67', 74') for the hosts.
