GROUP A:

At Santiago, Chile:

Javier Pinola (31') and Ignacio Fernandez (63') each scored once as River Plate blanked Palestino 2-0 on the road to clinch a berth in the knockout stage.

At Lima, Peru:

Rodrigo Moledo scored the only goal of the match in the 80th minute as Internacional locked up top spot in Group A with their 1-0 road win over Alianza Lima.

Luis Anangono scored the winning goal in the 73rd minute as LDU Quito kept their chances of advancing to the Copa Libertadores knockout stage by knocking off visiting Flamengo 2-1.

At Oruro, Bolivia:

Carlos Saucedo's successful penalty kick produced the game-winning 73rd-minute goal as Club Deportivo San Jose upended visiting Penarol 3-1.

Carlos Antonio Melgar's penalty kick in the 88th minute provided the difference as Jorge Wilstermann defeated visiting Athletico Paranaense 3-2.

At Ibague, Colombia:

Mauro Zarate (35') and Dario Benedetto (PK-44') each scored once as Copa Juniors came back from down two goals to gain a 2-2 road draw with Deportes Tolima.

Alex Castro (12') and Marcos Perez (20') each scored once for the hosts.
