UEFA Champions League: Reds, Spurs Advance To Semifinals

The quarterfinal round of the UEFA Champions League concluded on Wednesday with two games.

At Porto, Portugal:

Sadio Mane (26'), Mohamed Salah (65'), Roberto Firmino (77'), and Virgil Van Dijk (84', that's him celebrating after the game) each scored once as Liverpool dominated FC Porto 4-1 on the road in game four and took out the Portuguese club 6-1 on aggregate.

At Manchester, England:

Son Heung-min scored twice (7', 10') and Fernando Llorente once (73', that's him here, celebrating) as Tottenham Hotspur, despite dropping a 4-3 game-two road decision to Manchester City, still won the series (with the aggregate score at 4-4) on away goals.

For Spurs, they have reached the tournament's semifinal round since 1962, when it was known as the European Cup.

The Citizens saw what would have been a stoppage-time series-winning goal from Raheem Sterling was disallowed after a video review showed teammate Sergio Aguero was offside.
