AZ Only Three Points Back Of PSV; RKC Out Of Basement

Four games populated the Saturday Dutch Eredivisie Schedule:

At Alkmaar:

Goals from Danny Koevermans (15') and Maarten Martens (71') powered AZ Alkmaar into second place in the Eredivisie standings, just three points behind frontrunning PSV Eindhoven, as the hosts blanked Willem II Tilburg 2-0.

At Waalwijk:

Thanks to goals from Jan Vertonghen (35') and Ricky van der Bergh (85'), RKC Waalwijk climbed out of the Eredivisie basement as they defeated visiting SC Heracles Almelo 2-0.

At Kerkrade:

Bas Sibum scored the only goal (32') of Roda JC Kerkrade's 1-0 home win over NEC Nijmegen, giving Raymond Atteveld his first win as head coach of The Pride of the South Koempels.

At Heerenveen:

Visiting Vitesse Arnhem and SC Heerenveen battled to a 0-0 stalemate.
