MLS: Quakes, Dynamo, Rapids Pick Up Wins On Three-Draw Saturday

Six games were played on Saturday in Major League Soccer.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Fabian Espindola's equalizer at 52 minutes carried Real Salt Lake to a 1-1 road draw with the Philadelphia Union.  Keon Daniel scored for the hosts at 24 minutes.

At Washington:

A hat trick for Steven Lenhart (15', 22', 60') lifted the San Jose Earthquakes to a 4-2 road win over DC United.

At Houston:

Thanks to goals from Geoff Cameron (28') and Heath Pearce (OG-55') the Houston Dynamo racked up a 2-1 home win over Chivas USA.

At Carson, California:

Alan Gordon scored twice (68', 90') as Toronto FC gained a 2-2 road draw with the Los Angeles Galaxy.  Chris Birchall (2') and Juan Pablo Angel (90') each scored once for the Galaxy.

At Seattle:

Mauro Rosales (81') and Osvaldo Alonso (84') each scored a goal as the Seattle Sounders took a 2-1 lead over the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps, but Eric Hassli placed an incredible shot past goalkeeper Kasey Keller for his second tally of the match at 85 minutes (his earlier goal, a successful penalty kick, took place at 37 minutes) to gain a 2-2 road draw for the Whitecaps.  The Sounders have two draws in their first two contests of this year's Cascadia Cup competition while the Whitecaps, whose MLS winless streak have reached fourteen games, have one draw (likewise Portland from the Timbers' recent match in Seattle).

At Portland, Oregon:

Drew Moor scored the only goal of the match in second-half stoppage time (90'+2) as the Colorado Rapids knocked off the Portland Timbers 1-0 on the road.  The win ended the Rapids' six-match tying streak while the Timbers have now dropped three straight contests.
