At San Juan:

With Oswaldo Vizcarrondo (34') and Gabriel Cichero (80') providing the scoring, Venezuela knocked off Chile 2-1 to advance to their first-ever semifinal appearance.

For the semifinal round, Peru will take on Uruguay on this coming Tuesday at La Plata.  Wednesday will find Venezuela taking on Chile at Mendoza.

The two winners will face each other in next Sunday's final at Buenos Aires, with the winner qualifying for the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup to be played in Brazil.
