UEFA Champions League Qualifying

The UEFA Champions League's second qualifying round came to a conclusion on Wednesday with the second games of the five remaining two-game series.

At Nicosia, Cyprus:


With Estaban Solari (59'), Ailton Jose Almeida (66'), Aldo Adorno (80'), and Constantinos Charalambidis (86') providing the goals that busted open what had been a scoreless stalemate at halftime, APOEL delivered a 4-0 home beatdown on Skenderbeu Korce in game two of their two-match series and finished off the Albanian club 6-0 on aggregate.  The Thrylos will next take on Slovan Bratislava in the third qualifying round.

At Chisinau, Moldova:


Despite being reduced to ten men and dropping a game-two 2-0 road decision to FC Dacia Chisinau, FC Zestafoni still won their two-game series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Szekesfehervar, Hungary:


Andreas Holzl (28') and Ferdinand Feldhofer (39') provided the key goals in the first as SK Sturm Graz, despite dropping a 3-2 road decision to Videoton in game two, still won their two-game series 4-3 on aggregate.  Next on the Champions League qualifying agenda for the Blackies will be FC Zestafoni.

At Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina:


Vladimir Dvalishvili scored twice (24', 54') as Maccabi Haifi, despite dropping a 3-2 game-two decision on the road, still eliminated FK Borac Banja Luka 7-4 on aggregate.  The Israeli champs will next battle NK Maribor of Slovenia.

At Kopavogur, Iceland:


Despite dropping a 2-0 decision in game two on the road against Breidablik, Rosenborg still won their two-game series 5-2 on aggregate.  In the third qualifying round, the Norwegian Troll Kids will battle  Viktoria Plzen from the Czech Republic.
