MLS: Revs, Hoops, Rapids, Galaxy Win; Caps and Quakes Draw

Five games made up the Wednesday Major League Soccer schedule.


At Washington:


Stephen McCarthy used his noggin in the 73rd minute for the lone goal of the match as the New England Revolution ended their nine-game winless streak as they knocked off DC United 1-0 for their first road win of the season.


At Toronto:


Brek Shea scored the game's lone goal of the match in the 48th minute as FC Dallas blanked Toronto FC 1-0 on the road.


At Commerce City, Colorado:


Sanna Nyassi delivered at hat trick (3', 30', 61') as the Colorado Rapids dominated the visiting New York Red Bulls 4-1.


At Carson, California:


Sean Franklin provided all the scoring with his 70th-minute tally as the Los Angeles Galaxy stretched their unbeaten streak to thirteen games following their 1-0 home shutout of the Columbus Crew.


At Santa Clara, California:


The Vancouver Whitecaps and home standing San Jose Earthquakes battled to a 2-2 deadlock.  Chris Wondolowski (3', 54') scored twice for the Quakes while Eric Hassli doubled (42', 61') for the Whitecaps.
