UEFA Champions League Qualifying: Shamrock Rovers, Dinamo Zagreb, Ekranas, Litex Lovech Advance

Twelve of the seventeen two-game series in the second qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League concluded on Tuesday.

At Tallinn, Estonia:

A 0-0 draw on the road in game two with FC Flora Tallinn enabled Shamrock Rovers to win their two-game series 1-0 on aggregate.  The Rovers will get FC Copenhagen in the third qualifying round.

At Dudelange, Luxembourg:

Dejan Mezga scored twice (26', PK-76') as NK Maribor took game two 3-1 on the road against nine-man F91 Dudelange and won their series 5-1 on aggregate.

At Kostanay, Kazakhstan:

A 1-1 game-two road draw for Slovan Bratislava (with Jiri Kladrubsky scoring at 16 minutes) proved good enough for the Slovakian club to win their series with Tobal Kostanay 3-1 on aggregate.

At Baku, Azerbaijan:

A 0-0 draw on the road in game two with Neftchi Baku proved more than good enough for Dinamo Zagreb as the Croatian champs took their two-game series 3-0 on aggregate.

At Panevezys, Lithuania:

Ignas Dedura scored the only goal of the match at 5 minutes as Ekranas won game two 1-0 at home over Valletta and eliminated the Maltese club 4-2 on aggregate.

At Helsinki, Finland:

Efran Zeneli (47', 54'), Teemu Pukki (64', 67'), and Kastriot Kastrati (66', 88') each scored twice in the second half as KJK Helsinki destroyed visiting Bangor City (who looked, especially in the second half, as if they were being coached by Charlie Brown) 10-0 in game two to complete their two-game demolition of the Welsh club 13-0 on aggregate.  Dinamo Zagreb will be next for the Finnish champions.

At Lovech, Bulgaria:

With Petar Zanev (3'), Svetoslav Todorov (PK-49'), and Hristo Yanev (80') each scoring once, Litex Lovech dominated visiting Mogren 3-0 in game two and took out the Montenegrin club 5-1 on aggregate.

At Borisov, Belarus:

With Pavel Nekhaychik (58') and Aleksandr Pavlov (61') providing the goalpower, FC BATE Borisov defeated visiting Linfield 2-0 in game two and took their two-game series 3-1 on aggregate.  Next for the Belorussian club will be FK Ekranas. 

At Torshavn, Faroe Islands:

Wilton Figueiredo scored in second-half stoppage time (90+1) as Malmo FF gained a 1-1 road draw with HB Torshavn in game two of their two-match series and won the set 3-1 on aggregate.  The Swedish champions will next take on Rangers in the third qualifying round.

At Plzen, Czech Republic:

Doubles from Marek (38', 42') and Daniel Kolar (45'+1, 57') carried FK Viktoria Plzen to a 5-1 home beatdown in game two of their two-match series with Pyunik and a 9-1 aggregate victory for the series.

At Krakow, Poland:

Wisla Krakow, with Patryk Maleci (51') and Ivica Iliev (64') providing the goalpower, downed visiting ten-man Skonto FC 2-0 in game two and took out the Latvian club 3-0 on aggregate.  Wisla will get a crack at Bulgaria's Litex Lovech.

At Skopje, Macedonia:

Vladimir Jovancic came off the bench to register the lone goal of the match at 68 minutes as Partizan Belgrade defeated FK Skenjija 79 1-0 on the road in game two and closed out the Macedonian club 5-0 on aggregate.  KRC Genk from Belgium will await Partizan in the third qualifying rounf.
