CAF Champions League: First Round Concludes

The first round of the CAF Champions League concluded on Sunday with ten games.

At Bamako, Mali (game moved from Guinea due to Ebola outbreak):

After a 1-1 game two deadlocked which level the two-match series on aggregate, and with overtime dispensed with, Guinea's AS Kaloum won the penalty-kick shootout 5-4, eliminating Zambia's ZESCO United.

At Blantyre, Malawi:

A 1-1 road draw in game two was good enough for Al-Hilal as the Sudanese club ousted Big Bullets FC 5-1 on aggregate.

At Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo:

SM Sanga Balende defeated visiting Coton Sport 2-0 in game two and ousted the Cameroonian club 2-0 on aggregate.

At Rades, Tunisia:

A 3-1 game-two home victory for Esperance ST carried the Tunisian club to a 4-1 aggregate victory for the series against Cosmos de Bafia of Cameroon.

At Sfax, Tunisia:

A 1-0 game-two home win was more than good enough for CS Sfaxien as the Tunisian club easily ousted Togo's AC Semassi 6-0 on aggregate.

At Kumasi, Ghana:

A 2-1 game-two victory on the road carried MC El Eulma to a 2-1 aggregate victory as the Algerian club ousted Asante Kotoko.

At Alexandria, Egypt:

Smouha Sporting Club overturned their series-opening 1-0 road defeat with a game-two 2-0 home win over Enyimba International FC and eliminated the Nigerian club 2-1 on aggregate.

At Dolisie, Republic of the Congo:

AC Leopards picked up a second 1-0 victory over Gor Mahia FC, this time at home, and finished off the Kenyan club 2-0 on aggregate.

At Casablanca, Morocco:

Raja Casablanca blanked visiting Kaiser Chiefs 2-0 in the second game of their two-match series and won the set 3-0 on aggregate.
