Busy Sunday In Spain's La Liga

Eight games populated Spain's La Liga schedule:

At Barcelona:

Walter Pandiani scored the game winner in the 90th minute as Espanyol won one at home, defeating Athletic Bilbao. Raul Tamudo scored twice (54', 61')for the victors.

At Valencia:

Two second-half goals from Nuno Maniche (69', 75') busted open a tight game as Atletico Madrid ended up bashing hosts Levante 3-0.

At San Sebastian:

In a battle of two struggling clubs, visiting Real Betis and bottom-dwelling Real Sociedad played to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Zaragoza:

Pablo Aimar (50'), Oscar Gonzalez (55'), and Gerald Pique (70') scored for Real Zaragoza in their 3-0 home beatdown of struggling Gimnastic de Tarragona.

At Huelva:

Recreativo Huelva, thanks to goals from Javi Guerrero (45') and Ikechukwu Uche (76') sent visiting--and slumping---Osasuna into the relegation zone with a 2-0 victory.

At Villarreal:

Roberto Abbondanzieri's own goal in the 51st minute allowed Villarreal to pick up a 1-0 home win over Getafe.

At Mallorca:

Eidur Gudjohnsen tallied twice (42', 58') to help lead Barcelona to an easy 4-1 road pasting of RCD Mallorca.

At La Coruna:

Anderson Nene's 73rd-minute goal led visiting Celta Vigo to a 1-0 win over Deportivo La Caruna.
