At Bolton:

Wigan Athletic
won one on the road, at Bolton Wanderers' expense, 1-0, thanks to Lee McCulloch's goal in the 79th minute.

At London:

Darren Bent's 28th-minute tally provided all the scoring as Charlton Athletic

defeated visting Manchester City 1-0.At London:

Everton still has not beaten Fulham on the road since 1966, as the homestanding Cottagers topped the Toffees 1-0, on Claus Jensen's 66-minute goal.

At Liverpool:

On the strength of Dick Kuyt's double (14', 73'), Liverpool blanked visiting Reading 2-0.

At Newcastle:

Danny Webber
headed in the only goal (68') of the match in Sheffield United's 1-0 road win over Newcastle United.

At Watford:

With goals from Jonathan Woodgate (OG-6') and Ashley Young (60'), Watford picked up its' first Premiership win of the season, 2-0 at home over Middlesbrough.
