Eight games were played Sunday in Italy's Serie A:

At Bergamo:

Nicola Ventola (50') and Andrea Soncin (90') provided all the scoring as Atalanta racked up a 2-0 home win at AC Milan's expense.

At Leghorn:

Ibrahima Bakayoko notch the only goal (73') in Livorno's 1-0 win over visiting Udinese.

At Verona:

Chievo Verona remained winless on the season after a 0-0 home stalemate with Cagliari.

At Palermo:

Goals from Eugenio Corini (35') and Cristian Zaccardo (70') powered Palermo to a 2-0 home blanking of Sampdoria.

At Empoli:

Thanks to Igli Vanucchi's 88th-minute equalizer, Empoli gained a 1-1 home draw with Lazio.

At Turin:

Torino FC settled for a 1-1 home deadlock with 10-man Messina. Roberto Stellone
scored the equalizer (61') for The Bull.

At Milan:

Inter Milan blanked visiting Ascoli 2-0 to stay at the top of the Serie A standings.

At Rome:

Rodrigo Taddei scored two second-half goals (49', 66') to help lead AS Roma to a 3-1 home win over Fiorentina.
