PSV Blasts One Rotterdam Club, The Two Other Rotterdam Clubs (and Heerenveen) Pick Up Wins

Four games were played Saturday in the Dutch Eredivisie:

At Eindhoven:

PSV Eindhoven easily took care of visiting Excelsior as four players scored a goal apiece for the league leaders.

At Rotterdam:

Thanks to Nicky Hofs' two goals (29', 81'), Feyenoord Rotterdam won a tight match at home versus AZ Alkmaar 3-2.

At Nijmegen:

Sparta Rotterdam picked up their first win of the season by winning on the road against NEC Nijmegen 2-1. Jeffrey Vlug (34') and Yuri Rose (58') scored for the winners.

At Waalwijk:

In the only Saturday match not involving a club from Rotterdam, Lasse Nilsson (13') and Afonso Alves (20') provided the goals as SC Heerenveen blanked hosts RKC Waalwijk 2-0.
