Revs, Dynamo, To Play For MLS Cup

The two conference finals in the Major League Soccer playoffs were played Sunday:

At Washington:

With Taylor Twellman scoring the only goal of the match in the 4th minute, the visiting New England Revolution shut down the DC United offense and blanked the hosts 1-0 on their way to the Eastern Conference championship and a spot in next Sunday's MLS Cup title match at Frisco, Texas.

At Houston:

Paul Dalglish scored twice (10', 20') and Ricardo Clark added one (17') as the homestanding Houston Dynamo won the Western Conference title with a 3-1 win over the Colorado Rapids. The Dynamo will face New England in the MLS Cup championship game next Sunday at 12:30 PM Pacific Time in Frisco, Texas.
