In the lone Friday French Ligue 1 game, Lyon returned to their winning form as they defeated visiting Valenciennes 2-1. Steve Savidan (76') actually put the visitors in front, but Cris tied it up in the 85th minute, then Sebastien Squillaci knocked in the game-winner in the 86th.
