MLS: Crew And Hoops Win At Home; 1-1 Draws Between Philly And Goats; DCU And Quakes

Four games were played on Saturday in Major League Soccer.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Adam Moffat (43') and Jason Garey (45') each scored a goal near the end of the first half as the Columbus Crew topped the visiting Chicago Fire 2-1.

At Frisco, Texas:

David Ferreira's successful penalty kick at 58 minutes provided all the scoring as FC Dallas blanked the visiting Kansas City Wizards 1-0.


At Santa Clara, California:


Andy Najar scored at 54 minutes to gain a 1-1 road draw for DC United against the San Jose Earthquakes, whose goal came from Ike Opara at 14 minutes.


At Carson, California:


The Philadelphia Union and homestanding Chivas USA battled to a 1-1 stalemate.  Danny Mwanga put the visitors ahead with his goal at 20 minutes.  However, Blair Gavin equalized for the Goats in the 41st minute.
