MLS: Late Penalty Kick Spurs Philly To Win; Shutout Home Wins For Hoops And Crew; Wizards And Rapids Draw

Four games were played in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:


Sebastien Le Toux scored on a successful penalty kick deep into second-half stoppage time as the Philadelphia Union ended Toronto FC's eight-game unbeaten streak with a 2-1 home victory.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Emilio Renteria (20') and Bryan Carroll (48') provided the scoring as the Columbus Crew blanked the visiting New York Red Bulls 2-0, ending the Red Bulls' unbeaten streak at five games.


At Frisco, Texas:


FC Dallas, thanks to goals courtesy of Brek Shea (69') and Atiba Harris (76') extended their unbeaten streak to six games by ending the 10-game MLS unbeaten streak of visiting Real Salt Lake 2-0.


At Commerce City, Colorado:


Conor Casey's equalizer at 73 minutes salvaged a 1-1 home deadlock for the Colorado Rapids in their contest against the Kansas City Wizards, whose goal came at 20 minutes from David Arnaud.
