At Rio de Janeiro:

Bruno Henrique scored twice (51', 72') as Flamengo demolished visiting Indepeniente del Valle 4-0 in clinched a berth in the knockout stage.

At Barranquilla, Colombia:

Byron Castillo (45') and Jonathan Alvez (46') each scored once as Barcelona SC blanked Atletico Junior 2-0 on the road.

Willian opened the scoring in the fourth minute as five different players each scored once as Palmeiras clinched a knockout-stage berth after their 5-0 home destruction of Club Bolivar.

At Avellaneda, Argentina:

Julian Alvarez scored twice (11', 37') as River Plate defeated visiting Sao Paulo 2-1 in locked up a berth in the knockout stage.

Hector Fertoli converted a penalty kick in the 78th minute to carry Racing Club de Avellaneda to a 2-1 road win over Club Nacioal as both clubs advanced to the knockout stage.

At Lima, Peru:

Joazhino Arroe (3') and Patricio Rubio (90'+5) each scored once as Alianza Lima gained a 2-2 home draw with Estudiantes de Merida.

Jose Rivas converted a pair of penalty kicks for the Venezuelan club's tallies (35', 67').
