MLS: Wins For Whitecaps, Hoops; Timbers And Quakes Draw In San Jose

Three games were contested in Major League Soccer on Wednesday.

At Frisco, Texas:

Santiago Mosquera produced a hat trick (41', 57', 78') as FC Dallas dominated the visiting Colorado Rapids 4-1.

At San Jose, California:

Vako's equalizer in the 76th minute lifted the San Jose Earthquakes to a 1-1 home draw with the Portland Timbers.

Yimmy Chara scored in the 34th minute for the Timbers.

At Vancouver, British Columbia:

Fredy Montero scored twice (PK-40', 78') as the Vancouver Whitecaps downed the visiting, ten-man Montreal Impact 3-1.

The Impact blew a chance to secure a berth in the Canadian Championship Final with the defeat.  Toronto FC will face the representative from the Canadian Premier League (Forge FC or HFX Wanderers FC) for the lone Canadian berth in next year's CONCACAF Champions League.
