Haris Medunjanin scored the lone goal of the match in the 85th minute as FC Cincinnati upended the New York Red Bulls 1-0 on the road.
At Columbus, Ohio:
Pedro Santos (50') and Gyasi Zardes (90'+2) each scored once as the Columbus Crew blanked visiting Nashville 2-0.
At Washington:
Ola Kamara (5') and Griffith Yow (88') each scored once as DC United gained a 2-2 home draw with Toronto FC.
Alejandro Pozuelo (17') and Ayo Akinola (60') each scored a goal for the Reds.
At Orlando, Florida:

At San Jose, California:
Diego Valeri scored twice (PK-25', 57') as the Portland Timbers set a single-game franchise (MLS era) record for most goals as they destroyed the San Jose Earthquakes 6-1.
