Copa America: Peru and Colombia Join Brazil In Quarterfinals As Group-Stage Plays Ends

Two games were played in Chile on Sunday in Group C as group-stage action in the Copa Libertdores concluded.

At Temuco:

A 0-0 stalemate between Peru and Colombia sent both teams to the quarterfinal round.

At Santiago:

Roberto Firmino scored the winning goal in the 52nd minute as Brazil held off Venezuela 2-1 and won the Group C title.

1. Brazil (GP: 3; GD: +1; PTS: 6)
2. Peru (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 4)
3. Colombia (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 4)
4. Venezuela (GP: 3; GD: -1; PTS: 3)

Brazil, Peru, and Colombia (as one of the two best third-placed group finishers) advanced to the quarterfinal round.
