*With Coppa Italia winners Juventus having already qualified for the Champions League, the Europa League group-stage spot normally awarded to the Italy Cup winners is passed to the fifth-place club, in this case, Napoli, who will join Fiorentina in the Europa League's group stage.  The spot for the Europa League's third qualifying round was given to the highest-placed club that received a UEFA licensed who had not already qualified for European competition.  In this case, the club was Sampdoria, who got the nod instead of local rivals Genoa, since the latter club could not get a UEFA license.

Promotion playoffs:

Pescara and Bologna are currently playing in the two-game promotion final for a spot in Serie A.  The first match ended in a scoreless stalemate.
