Copa America: Uruguay Gains Draw With Paraguay, Advances To Quarterfinals Along With Paraguay, Argentina

Action in Group B of the Copa America concluded on Saturday with two games contested in Chile.

At La Serena:

Lucas Barrios equalized in the 45th minute to lift Paraguay to a 1-1 draw with Uruguay.  Jose Gimenez scored in the 29th minute for the Sky Blue One, who will be joining Paraguay (and Argentina) in the quarterfinal round.

At Vina del Mar:

Gonzalo Higuain scored the only goal of the match in the 10th minute as Argentina defeated Jamaica 1-0 and clinched first place in Group B.

2. Paraguay (GP: 3; GD: +1; PTS: 5)
3. Uruguay (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 4)

Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay (as one of the top two third-placed group finishers) advanced to the quarterfinal round.
