MLS: NYC, Revs, Sounders Gather Saturday Victories; Crew and Galaxy Draw In Columbus

Four games were played in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At New York:

David Villa (31'), Mix Diskerud (76'), and Kwadwo Poku (90') each scored a goal as New York City put together their first-ever two-game winning streak following a 3-1 home win over the Montreal Impact.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Federico Higuain's equalizer in the 56th minute carried the Columbus Crew to a 1-1 home draw with the Los Angeles Galaxy in a match whose kickoff was delayed by more than two hours due to inclement weather.  Sebastian Lletget scored for the Galaxy in the 14th minute.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Diego Fagundez (48') and Charlie Davies (50') each scored a goal two minutes apart early in the second half as the New England Revolution blanked the visiting Chicago Fire 2-0.

At Seattle:

Lamar Neagle (55'), Obafemi Martins (73'), and Leo Gonzalez (90'+2) each scored a goal in the second half as the Seattle Sounders dominated visiting FC Dallas 3-0.
