Europa League: All-Portuguese Final In Dublin

The semifinal round of the Europa League concluded with two games on Thursday.


At Braga, Portugal:


Custodio gave Braga the lead on away goals with his impressive header


Castro Custodio scored the only goal of the match at 18 minutes )pictured here) as Sporting Braga defeated visiting Benfica 1-0 in game two of their two-match series, and with the score at 2-2 on aggregate, won the series due to the away goals rule.  Braga will be heading to the first major European final in club history.

At Villarreal, Spain:


Falcao set a new record when notching his 16th of the Europa League campaign.


Despite dropping a 3-2 game-two decision on the road against Villarreal, FC Porto advanced to the Europa League final by winning their two-match series 7-4 on aggregate.  The Dragons will face Sporting Braga in the final set for Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland on May 18.  Here's Falcao, scoring one of the two Porto goals at 48 minutes, pictured here.
