MLS: RSL and TFC Pick Up Wins On Five-Draw Saturday

Seven games were played in Major League Soccer on Saturday.


At Sandy, Utah:


Will Johnson scored the only goal of the match at 86 minutes as Real Salt Lake topped visiting Chivas USA 1-0.


At Toronto:


Joao Plata Cotera (PK-50') and Maicon Santos (81') each scored once at Toronto FC held off the visiting Houston Dynamo 2-1.


At Columbus, Ohio:


Emilio Renteria's successful penalty kick at 67 minutes carried the Columbus Crew to a 1-1 home draw with the Seattle Sounders.  Fredy Montero scored for the Sounders at 8 minutes.


At Washington:


DC United and visiting FC Dallas battled to a 0-0 stalemate.


At Foxborough, Massachusetts:


The Colorado Rapids and the New England Revolution battled to a 0-0 deadlock.


At Bridgeview, Illinois:


The contest between the Chicago Fire and visiting Vancouver Whitecaps ended in a 0-0 draw.


At Carson, California:


Landon Donovan's 41st-minute equalizer enabled the Los Angeles Galaxy get a share of the points in their 1-1 home deadlock with the New York Red Bulls.  Thierry Henry scored in the 4th minute for the visitors.
