CONCACAF Champions League: It's Tigres vs. America for the Marbles

The semifinal round of the CONCACAF Champions League concluded on Tuesday with two games.

At San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico:

Andre-Pierre Gignac scored twice late in the second half (84', 88') as Tigers blanked visiting Queretaro 2-0 in game two (despite finishing with ten men) and won the series by that same score on aggregate.

At Mexico City:

After 90 more minutes of scoreless regulation soccer, Michael Arroyo scored the winning overtime goal in the 102nd minute as ten-man Club America defeated visiting Santos Laguna 1-0 on aggregate and advanced to the final.

The CONCACAF Champions League final will open on April 20 at San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico as Tigres will host Club America, then the series will wrap up on April 27 at Mexico City, with the winner advancing to December's FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in Japan.
