Copa Libertadores

Group-stage play in the Copa Libertadores continued on Thursday with five games.

GROUP TWO:

At Montevideo, Uruguay:

German Herrera scored the winning goal in the 69th minute as Rosario Central defeated Club Nacional 2-1 to jump the Uruguayan club and win the Group Two title and join their hosts in the knockout stage.

At Sao Paulo, Brazil:

Augustin Allione scored twice (45+3' 72') as Palmeiras demolished visiting River Plate of Uruguay 4-0 in the tournament finale for both clubs.

Final Group Two Standings::

1. Rosario Central (GP: 6; GD: +5; PTS: 11)
2. Club Nacional (GP: 6; GD: 0; PTS: 9)
3. Palmeiras (GP: 6; GD: +4; PTS: 8)
4. River Plate, Uruguay (GP: 6; GD: -9; PTS: 3)

Rosario Central and Uruguay's Club Nacional advanced to the knockout stage.



GROUP THREE:

At Palmira, Colombia:

Gaston Cellerino's equalizer in the 67th minute lifted Club Bolivar to a 1-1 road draw with Deportivo Cali.  Jhon Lozano scored for the hosts in the fourth minute.

Group Three Standings:

1. x-Boca Juniors (GP: 5; GD: +3; PTS: 9) 
2.    Racing Club de Avellaneda (GP: 5; GD: +4; PTS: 8)
3.    Club Bolivar (GP: 5; GD: 0; PTS: 5)
4. z-Deportivo Cali (GP: 5; GD: -7; PTS: 3)

z-Eliminated from tournament



GROUP FIVE:

At Belo Horizonte, Brazil:

Tiago Pagnussat (1'), Robinho (7'), Lucas Pratto (PK-16'), and Carlos (68') each scored once as Atletico Mineiro took top spot in Group Five with their 4-0 home demolition of FBC Melgar.

At Santiago, Chile:

By holding hosts Colo-Colo to a 0-0 stalemate, Independiente del Valle locked up a spot in the knockout stage and eliminated the Chilean club.

Final Group Five Standings:

1. Atletico Mineiro (GP: 6; GD: +8; PTS: 13)
2. Independiente del Valle (GP: 6; GD: +3; PTS: 11)
3. Colo-Colo (GP: 6; GD: -1; PTS: 9)
4. FBC Melgar (GP: 6; GD: -10; PTS: 0)

Atletico Mineiro and Independiente del Valle advanced to the knockout stage.
