Europa League Semifinals: Sevilla Gain Series-Opening Road Draw With Shakhtar; Yellow Sub's Late Goal Carries Them By Liverpool

The semifinal round of the Europa League commenced on Thursday with two games.

At Lviv, Ukraine:

Vitolo (6') and Kevin Gameiro (PK-82') each scored once as Sevilla gained a series-opening draw with Shakhtar Donetsk.  Marlos (23') and Taras Stepanenko (36') delivered the goals for the Ukrainian club.

At Seville, Spain:

Adrian Lopez Alvarez delivered the winning goal in the second minute of second-half stoppage time as Villarreal took game one of their series with Liverpool 1-0 at home.
