Europa League: Shakhtar, Yellow Submarine, Sevilla, Reds Advance To Semis

The quarterfinal round of the Europa League is set to conclude on Thursday with four games.

The hosts of these games, set to kick off at 12:05 PM Pacific Time, are listed first.

At Lviv, Ukraine:

Two own goals from Ricardo Ferreira (43', 73') helped Shakhtar Donetsk demolish visiting SC Braga 4-0 in game two and finish off the Portuguese club 6-1 on aggregate.

At Prague, Czech Republic:

Cedric Bakambu scored twice (5', 49') as Villarreal doubled up hosts Sparta Prague 4-2 in game two as the Yellow Submarine won their series 6-3 on aggregate.

At Seville, Spain:

After Athletic Bilbao took game two against Sevilla 2-1  on the road in regulation, the two clubs battled through 30 scoreless overtime minutes.  Then, in the penalty-kick shootout, Coke, Grzegorz Krychowiak, Yevhen Konoplyanka, Steven N'Zoni, and Kevin Gameiro all converted their spot kicks, lifting the home-standing Ones from Nervion  to a 5-4 PK shootout win and a berth in the semifinal round.

At Liverpool, England:

Divock Origi (48'), Philippe Coutinho (66'), Mamadou Sakho (78'), and Dejan Lovren (90'+1) each scored a second-half goal as Liverpool battled back from two two-goal deficits and upended visiting Borussia Dortmund 4-3 in game two and knocked out the German club 5-4 on aggregate.
