In a match-up of Uruguayan clubs, Mauricio Victorino (7') and Kevin Ramirez (71') each scored once as Club Nacional gained a 2-2 road draw with River Plate and clinched a berth in the knockout stage. Cesar Tajan (5') and Ignacio Gonzalez (OG-81') each scored a goal for the now-eliminated hosts.

At Avellaneda, Argentina:
Oscar Romero scored the winning goal in the 37th minute as Racing Club de Avellaneda went on to defeat visiting Deportivo Cali 4-2.
