MLS: Fire, Rapids, RSL, Sounders Grab Saturday Wins; Hoops and Crew, Caps and Galaxy, Quakes and DCU Draw

Seven games were contested in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Bridgeview, Illinois:

Kennedy Igboananike scored the only goal of the Chicago Fire's first victory of the season, 1-0 over the visiting Philadelphia Union, in the 51st minute.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Luis Solignac scored the only goal of the match in the 18th minute as the Colorado Rapids downed visiting, ten-man Toronto FC 1-0.

At Kansas City, Kansas:

Luke Mulholland scored the winning goal in the 79th minute as Real Salt Lake held off Sporting Kansas City 2-1 on the road.

At Frisco, Texas:

Tesho Akindele's equalizer in the 77th minute lifted FC Dallas to a 1-1 home draw with Columbus.  Justin Meram scored for the visiting Crew in the ninth minute.

At Vancouver, British Columbia,

The Vancouver Whitecaps, who finished the game with ten men,  and the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Seattle:

Clint Dempsey scored the lone goal of the match in the 79th minute as the Seattle Sounders racked up their first win of the season, 1-0 over the visiting Montreal Impact.

At San Jose, California:

Adam Jahn's equalizer at 88 minutes carried the San Jose Earthquakes to a 1-1 home draw with DC United.  Patrick Nyarko scored for the guests in the 34th minute.
