AZ Climb Up To Second as Ajax Stumble At Home Against Heerenveen; Bad Loss For ADO; Roda JC and Feyenoord Draw

Four Sunday matches dotted the Dutch Eredivisie schedule:

At Amsterdam:

Lasse Nilsson's goal (18') was the only tally of SC Heerenveen's 1-0 road win over Ajax Amsterdam.

At Utrecht:

Four different goal scorers paced AZ Alkmaar to a 4-0 road fistbeating of FC Utrecht, moving the visitors to second place in the Eredivise standings, eight points in back of table-topping PSV Eindhoven.

At Almelo:

With goals from Rob Maas (PK-36'), Igor Gluscevic (77'), and Karim Bridji (83'), SC Heracles Almelo delivered a serious blow to ADO Den Haag's hopes of playing in the top flight next year, ending their 18-game winless streak with a 3-1 triumph at the cellar occupants' expense.

At Rotterdam:

Pierre van Hooijdonk's equalizer at 84 minutes helped Feyenoord Rotterdam salvage a 1-1 home stalemate with Roda JC Kerkrade.
