Home Wins For Dons, Hibs, and Killie

Five games populated Saturday's Scottish Premier League schedule:

At Aberdeen:

Steve Lovell's 7th-minute tally held up as Aberdeen moved within four points of second place, thanks to their 1-0 home win over Hearts.

At Edinburgh:

Abdessalam Benjelloun's double (52', 74') enabled Hibernian to rack up a 2-0 home win over sliding Falkirk.

At Kilmarnock:

Paul Di Giacomo scored twice (17', 27') and Steven Naismith once (40') as Kilmarnock held off visiting Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3-2.

At Dundee:

Visiting Motherwell and Dundee United played to a 1-1 deadlock. Steven Robb scored for the host Tangerines at 29 minutes only to see Danny Murphy equalize at 37 minutes for the Steelmen.

At Dunfermline:

What would one suspect when the two bottom clubs in the SPL get together? A 0-0 stalemate between visiting (and second-bottom) St. Mirren and cellar occupants Dunferline, who now can start to smell demotion to the Scottish First Division.
