Goals from Brian Ching (57') and Chris Wondolowski (84') powered the Houston Dynamo to a game-one 2-0 home win over Mexican club Pachuca.
At Washington:
Visiting Chivas of Guadalajara and DC United battled to a 1-1 draw in game one of the two clubs' two-game home-and -away series. Omar Bravo put the Goats in front with his 63rd-minute tally, but DC's Luciano Emilio scored the equalizer during second-half stoppage time.
