Toffees Sink Gunners At End; Addicks Get Key Win; Reds and Villa Draw

Three Sunday matches were contested in the English Premier League:

At Liverpool:

Andy Johnson scored the game winner during second-half stoppage time as Everton climbed to sixth place in the EPL standings following their home victory over Arsenal.

At London:

Zheng Zhi (53') and Jerome Thomas (PK-88') provided the offensive punch as Charlton Athletic climbed within four points of safety following their 2-0 home blanking of Newcastle United.

At Birmingham:

Aston Villa prevented visiting Liverpool from taking over third place in the Premiership by holding the Reds to a 0-0 draw.
