Bayern Stunned At Frankfurt; Schalke Back On Winning Track

Six games were played Saturday in the German Bundesliga:

At Frankfurt:

Christoph Preuss scored the game's only goal at 78 minutes, lifting Eintracht Frankfurt to a 1-0 home win over Bayern Munich.

At Gelsenkirchen:

Mladen Krstajic's goal in the 76th minute lifted league-leading FC Schalke 04 to a 1-0 home win over third-place VfB Stuttgart.

At Hannover:

Hamburg and homestanding Hannover 96 battled to a 0-0 deadlock.

At Wolfsburg:

Isaac Boakye (21'), Alexander Madlung (26'), and Marcelo dos Santos (83') eached notched a tally as VfL Wolfsburg held off visiting VfL Bochum 3-1.

At Dortmund:

Guests FC Nurnberg and Borussia Dortmund (in their first game for new head coach, ex-Hamburg coach Thomas Doll) battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Aachen:

Alemania Aachen, thanks to second-half goals from Jan Schlaudraff (71') and Lauentiu-Aurelian Reghecampf (PK-76'), defeated second-from-bottom visiting Arminia Bielefeld 2-0, spoiling Ernst Middledorp's debut as Die Arminen's new head coach.
