Angolan Club Advances As CAF First Round Concludes

The first round proper of the CAF Champions League concluded Monday.

At Yaounde, Cameroon:

After scoring in the 34th minute of game two, winning that match 1-0 to level the two-game set 1-1 on aggregate, and following a scoreless 30 minutes of overtime, Angola's Club Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto won the penalty-kick shootout 5-4 to eliminate Canon Yaounde and advance to the round of 16.

Here are the matchups for the Round of 16, with the club hosting the opening match of the respective two-match sets listed first:

The opening matches are scheduled to be played on April 17-19 with the return contests on May 1-3. The winners would advance to the group stage.
