Fire Roar Back To Gain Draw In Columbus And Keep Crew Winless

Five Major League Soccer matches were contested on Saturday.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Goals from Brian McBride (86') and Gonzalo Segares (88') enabled the Chicago Fire to erase a two-goal deficit and gain a 2-2 road draw with the Columbus Crew. The still-winless defending champs got goals in the first half from Chad Marshall (26') and Alejandro Moreno (34').

At Sandy, Utah:

Six different goal scorers----Jamison Olave (53'), Clint Mathis (56'), Yura Movsisyan (70'), Luis Escalada (81'), Andy Williams (85'), and Robbie Findley (89')----each scored once in the second half as Real Salt Lake crushed the previously unbeaten New England Revolution 6-0 at home.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Landon Donovan's equalizer (82') lifted the Los Angleles Galaxy to a 1-1 road deadlock with the Colorado Rapids. Colin Clark scored at 60 minutes for the Rapids.

At Carson City, California:

Atiba Harris doubled (68', 89') and Alecko Eskandarian added one for good measure (90') as Chivas USA broke open a scoreless deadlock and overpowered visiting FC Dallas 3-0.

At Seattle:

Steve Zakuani (42') and Brad Evans (50') provided the goalpower as Seattle Sounders FC blanked the visiting San Jose Earthquakes 2-0.
