At Cochabamba, Bolivia:
Goals courtesy of Marco Estrada (14') and Juan Gonzalez (73') lifted Universidad de Chile into the knockout stage as the visitors defeated Club Aurora 2-1.
At Porto Alegre, Brazil:
Souza's double (12', 16') helped ignite a first-half scoring ambush as knockout-stage-bound Gremio dominated visiting Boyaca Chico FC 3-0 to eliminate the Colombian club from the tournament.

Group Eight:
At Buenos Aires, Argentina:
Ronaille Calheira's own goal at 20 minutes did not help matters, and Alejandro Gomez added the insurance goal at 24 minutes as already-eliminated San Lorenzo stunned visiting Universitario de Deportes 2-0 to knock the Peruvian club out of the tournament.
At Luque, Paraguay:
With Jairo Patino (58') and Jose Rodolfo Reyes (90') providing the scoring, San Luis knocked off Round-of-16 bound Club Libertad 2-0 on the road to overtake Peru's Universitario and claim the second knockout stage berth from Group Eight.
